Volume 31: Impermanence, Happy Snaps & Blue Rivers

Welcome to the Mind Fuzz newsletter, a recap of three things that are on my mind this week.

1. Impermanence

I truly believe people come and go from your life as nature intends.

The coming’s great.

But man, the going sucks.

I think this is one of the best reminders of impermanence.

Everything good or bad in your life right now is going to change.

People you love will leave.

And people you don’t even know exist yet will burst that bubble of yours and come and sit inside it for a while.

Just try to enjoy it as best you can while it lasts.

Because it might not last for long.

2. Happy Snaps

I’ve been picking up my camera loads this week and boy oh boy – my creative spark is back baby!!!

I’ve been in such a rut recently and this is exactly what I needed to get out of it.

Life is so different when you’re looking at it through a lens.

Mundane, everyday moments can be turned into art.

Whenever I take my camera out I find myself in the present moment much more often.

Me, nature & getting a cool shot.

No overthinking.

No distractions.

Just creation.

This is when life peaks.

3. Blue Rivers

“Try the rivers of another town. Another city, yet another frown.”

Jonatan Leandoer – Rivers of Another Town

This song brought back memories of my travels through Europe.

The article I wrote about that little adventure was titled, “travelling changed my life, but it didn’t solve my problems.”

And man was that true.

The grass isn’t greener.

The water might be bluer… but that’s beside the point.

You won’t find what you’re looking for in another place.

That sh*t’s all internal.

Go new places, try new stuff, swim in that blue ass river.

Just know you’ll probably still be frowning a little.

And that’s okay.

He used to be a journalist, then he got bored. Now he writes about random stuff on the internet.
