Welcome to the Mind Fuzz newsletter, a recap of three things that are on my mind this week.
1. Creating this website, my corner of the internet
I don’t think there’s a better way to test your temperament than by building a website. It’s a true culmination of creativity, problem-solving, hair-pulling, a bit of life contemplation and, eventually, joy.
There is truly something magical about getting lost in the creative process. For me, the flow state that comes from website building is unparalleled.
Think of that feeling you get after you finally solve that nagging issue that just doesn’t make sense. Then times that by ten. That’s the level of satisfaction you get when you finish building a beautiful website.
2. Building an audience on X
I’ve never been one to post things on social media, particularly to an audience of people that I’ve never met in real life. But posting daily content on X (formerly Twitter) has been a revelation for me recently.
I’ve been posting a minimum of three times a day which means I’m constantly trying to capture my thoughts throughout the day. And if you are ever struggling to come up with content ideas, I highly encourage you to engage with other users.
Messaging, commenting or even just seeing someone else’s tweet can help spark something that you can then transform into your own piece of content with your own experiences added.
3. Remembering the importance of good looks
“Good looks don’t cook the dinner, but they’ll get you a seat at the table,” Matthew McConaughey.
We always try to dismiss how much an impact good looks can have on your life, but I think this quote sums it up pretty perfectly.
It’s worth it to try and build a fit body, take care of your skin and appearance – but it’s not the be-all and end-all. Good looks will make people look, but what comes out of your mouth will make them listen.
A closing question for you
Is there a way you could be using social media to better yourself and your brand, or are you just using it for consumption?
