Volume 35: Being Disliked, De-sexualising & Mastering Desires

Welcome to the Mind Fuzz newsletter, a recap of three things that are on my mind this week.

1. Being Disliked

Maturing is realising that some people will dislike you for no reason…

And that’s okay.

I’ve been writing a lot about this recently, and for good reason.

The better you are at accepting this fact, the more you’ll live a life aligned to your own personal values.

Because when you’re not trying to impress anyone, you don’t suppress, you don’t expect, and you don’t change to suit.

And you are so much better off for it.

If you have people that dislike you, you’re probably doing something right.

Or you’re just an a**hole, but that doesn’t fit the narrative.

And I guarantee you ain’t that.

2. De-Sexualising

OnlyFans creators made $1.7 billion more than the entire NBA roster in 2023.

Yes, really.

As a man, there has never been a more important (or more difficult) time than now to de-sexualise your brain.

I’ve been using Instagram recently (for creative purposes, I swear), and I cannot believe how sexualised the explore page is.

It’s literally soft-core p**n.

I know I have a lot of female subscribers, so I’m not sure if your explore pages look the same, but I know this would be the case for most men.

It’s incredible the power these women can garner by showing off their bits and pieces through a screen.

Every ounce of attention you give to them is an ounce of attention taken away from your own life.

This is having a far worse effect on men and relationships than people realise (like really, really bad).

And it’s only going to get worse.

3. Mastering Desires

“You have mastered women and the world when no desire either to avoid or attain sways your loving or limits your freedom.”

David Deida – The Way Of The Superior Man

This is a quote I’ve been sitting with all week.

My interpretation: building your own life, focusing on your own goals and living to your values is paramount.

And doing all of this whilst leaving yourself open to the possibility of someone joining.

Not shutting yourself off.

Not chasing.

Now, my interpretation is one thing… but actualising it is hard!!!

One of life’s great endeavours I guess, eh?

Have a good week you beautiful people x
