Volume 36: Change, Tune Detox & A Brain Fart

Welcome to the Mind Fuzz newsletter, a recap of three things that are on my mind this week.

1. Change

Hi.

You’re receiving this a day late (or not if you’re on the other side of the world).

Something very big and very exciting happened in my life yesterday.

I think finding a balance between keeping things a secret or posting them online for the world to see is so important.

I do my best to tread that line carefully, but I think I’ll tell you all soon, cause I like you very much.

Long story short, I now have a very big responsibility (not a kid, don’t worry).

I am nervous.

But very very very excited.

And this, again, just shows how quickly things can change in one’s life.

Keep working towards that thing.

2. Tune Detox

Have you ever had a music detox?

Like where you go a week or however long without listening to anything?

I tried it this weekend… and hated it.

Even when nothing was playing I literally found myself singing and/or drumming a beat subconsciously.

Kind of a vibe, kind of a problem.

I just love music so much, but it’s gotta be bad to have it playing all the time, right?

Try it and see how you go.

But a coffee high without listening to Dom Fike doesn’t hit the same.

3. Brain Fart

“We don’t know a thing, we’re just floating.”

Ivri – We Don’t Know A Thing

How often do you remember we’re just floating on a rock through a place we know basically nothing about?

Do you think we’ll ever know stuff about the world and how it came to be?

I mean, we theorise, but we don’t know.

Either the universe has always been here, or it started randomly one day.

If the big bang was how it all really started, that means there was once nothing.

How could something start from nothing???

Like the energy to start something had to come from somewhere???

Why did we get made so dumb that this actually hurts to think about???

How did I get lucky enough to live at the same time as Dominic Fike???

Why did evolution get rid of all our hair so now I get in trouble from Mum if I don’t put sunscreen on???

Why don’t we have the capacity to surpass a caffeine tolerance so I can just feel this good 24/7???

All of life’s big questions summed up in 30 seconds.

Perhaps we will never know the answers.

But I’m going to have another coffee now to try to prolong a feeling that I have learnt time and time again cannot be prolonged.

Have a good week beautiful people.

He used to be a journalist, then he got bored. Now he writes about random stuff on the internet.
