Volume 45: The Return, Blissful Mornings & Lying

Welcome to the Mind Fuzz newsletter, a recap of three things that are on my mind this week.

1. The Return

Hey.

Remember me?

I bloody hope so, it’s only been two weeks!!!

That little break was needed, but I missed you guys so much.

I won’t write about it much here, because that’s what this week’s article is about.

But in short, if something ain’t feeling right in your life, there’s probably a very good reason for it.

Pushing through things is great, but knowing when to rest is so underrated.

It’s so easy to lose your reason why, especially when you get bogged down in monotony.

But I’m so damn happy I re-discovered mine.

Maybe you just need a break too, my friend.

2. Blissful Mornings

Mornings without distractions are the epitome of life.

Not checking your phone.

Getting sunlight on your face straight away.

Making yourself a cup of coffee/tea and meditating.

Bliss.

I do my best to not let a morning define my day, but when you spend your morning like this, it really does set you up.

I want to experience this more, so I’m planning to get an old school alarm clock so I never have to take my damn phone into my room.

Will keep ya’ll updated.

3. Lying

“As you grow in mindfulness, you begin to notice the lies you can no longer tell.”

Sam Harris

This quote hit hard this week.

I’m finding the older I get, the harder it is to lie about things.

The small white lies to others in conversations, lying to get out of things, and especially lying to myself.

This was basically the reason I had to take a break from my blog/newsletter.

Your best work, both as a creator and as a human, will always come from a place of authenticity.

When you don’t have that, it’s incredibly difficult to create something you’re truly proud of.

Getting there might require you to offend yourself and others in the process.

After all, our society is built on carefully constructed lies.
